Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Indigenous Ship-Launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile

Rawalpindi – Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted the test flight of an indigenously developed ship-launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile (ASBM), marking a significant leap in the country’s maritime defense capabilities.

 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the advanced missile is capable of engaging both sea and land-based targets with high precision. It features state-of-the-art guidance technology and advanced maneuverability, enhancing Pakistan’s strategic deterrence and operational readiness in the maritime domain.

 

The test was witnessed by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), along with senior scientists and engineers who contributed to the development program. The Navy chief praised the successful trial and commended the efforts of the teams involved in achieving this major technological milestone.

 

ISPR said the achievement reflects Pakistan's growing self-reliance in defense production and reinforces the Navy’s resolve to ensure the protection of national maritime interests.

 

President, Prime Minister, Field Marshal, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Chiefs of the Armed Forces congratulated the participating units, engineers, and scientists for their dedication and professionalism.

 

The latest test underscores Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities amid evolving security challenges in the region.
