ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Tajikistan have concluded their third bilateral counterterrorism military exercise, Dosti-III, aimed at improving operational coordination and strengthening the professional capabilities of their armed forces.
The exercise, which began on October 26, concluded on Friday at the Special Operations School in Cherat, Pakistan, the military's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said.
The joint drills focused on sharing counterterrorism experience, refining operational procedures and improving combat skills through mutual training and the exchange of best practices.
Dosti-III is the third edition of the bilateral exercise between the Pakistan Army and the Tajikistan Army.
According to ISPR, the exercise reflects longstanding military cooperation between the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening defence ties.
Pakistan and Tajikistan have maintained defence and security cooperation amid shared concerns over regional stability and the threat of terrorism, particularly in the wider Central and South Asian region.
The exercise also provides an opportunity for the two militaries to exchange operational knowledge and improve their ability to respond to security challenges.
