Pakistan Military Chief Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Policy Toward Any Threat to National Security

ISLAMABAD -Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on Thursday reiterated the Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance policy toward any threat to national security, reaffirming the armed forces’ unwavering resolve to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal stability.

 

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief made these remarks during his visit to Lahore Garrison, where he was given a comprehensive briefing on the formation’s operational preparedness, training standards and key initiatives aimed at enhancing combat efficiency.

 

During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir witnessed a specialized field training exercise that showcased the latest technologies, highlighting the Pakistan Army’s emphasis on innovation and adaptability to meet the demands of a dynamic and evolving battlefield. The exercise demonstrated the force’s focus on modern warfare concepts, integrated operations and the effective use of emerging technologies to strengthen operational readiness.

 

The army chief also inspected sports and recreational facilities being provided to troops, underlining their importance in maintaining physical fitness, morale and overall well-being of soldiers. ISPR said he stressed that a healthy, motivated and professionally trained force remains central to operational effectiveness and long-term institutional strength.

 

In addition to operational engagements, the COAS & CDF visited a High Care Center at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore. He lauded the efforts of the medical staff and administration for establishing a fully equipped, state-of-the-art healthcare facility, acknowledging their role in ensuring quality medical care for service personnel and their families.

 

Addressing officers during the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance policy toward any threat to national security. He reaffirmed the institution’s determination to confront multifaceted challenges with focus, professionalism and resolve. Reiterating the army’s core mission, he said the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in defending the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability, while fostering a culture of excellence, discipline and selfless national service.

 

ISPR said the army chief also highlighted the importance of continued training, technological advancement and institutional cohesion to meet emerging security challenges, stressing that operational readiness and adaptability would remain central to the force’s future outlook.

 

Earlier, upon his arrival at Lahore Garrison, the COAS & CDF was received by the Commander Lahore Corps.
