Global protests erupt against Trump’s Middle East war as ‘No Kings’ rallies sweep US, Israel and South Korea

By The South Asia Times

WASHINGTON - Mass protests have erupted across the United States and beyond, as demonstrators rally against Donald Trump’s handling of the Middle East conflict, demanding an immediate end to the war and warning of rising global instability.

In cities including New York, Washington, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia, hundreds of thousands took to the streets under the banner of “No Kings,” denouncing what they described as authoritarian tendencies and escalating military policies. In Minnesota, a major rally drew large crowds calling for peace and constitutional accountability.

Speaking in Boston, Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized the administration’s economic and foreign policies, arguing that tariff measures and war spending were driving up costs for ordinary Americans, from healthcare to fuel.

The protests come amid a broader political debate in Washington, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio defending US global commitments while acknowledging concerns over burden-sharing in international conflicts.

Dissent has also spread internationally. In Tel Aviv, thousands of Israelis marched, echoing earlier mass mobilizations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Demonstrators called for an end to the war, with some reports of clashes between protesters and security forces.

In South Korea, rallies linked current tensions to historical grievances, with protesters urging their government to reject any military involvement. Activists invoked memories of the Jeju 4.3 Uprising, calling for peace and sovereignty.

Meanwhile, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez warned in an interview that the conflict risks reshaping the Middle East, suggesting that Israeli actions could be driving a dangerous new reality in the region.

From North America to Asia and the Middle East, the protests reflect a growing global movement opposing the war, with demonstrators united in calls for de-escalation, civilian protection, and a return to diplomacy.
