Pakistan army chief, Kuwaiti foreign minister discuss regional security and bilateral cooperation

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's army chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to discuss regional security and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, the Pakistani military said.

According to the military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting was also attended by Kuwait's ambassador to Pakistan, Nassar Abdul Rahman J. Al-Mutairi.

The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, regional security and measures to further deepen cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.

The visiting Kuwaiti foreign minister praised Pakistan's steadfast support, its constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, and the longstanding fraternal ties between the two countries.

Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to its relationship with Kuwait, saying both countries share a common vision for regional peace, stability and prosperity.
