Pakistan, Arab and Muslim nations condemn Israel’s Gaza ceasefire violations

By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD - The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates have strongly condemned the Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, warning that the actions risk escalating tensions and undermining diplomatic efforts to restore stability.

In a joint statement released on Sunday, the ministers said Israel’s actions had resulted in the killing and injury of more than 1,000 Palestinians, calling the developments deeply concerning at a time when regional and international actors are seeking to consolidate calm in the Gaza Strip.

The ministers warned that the violations threaten ongoing diplomatic efforts, including the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 and progress toward the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan.

“These repeated violations constitute a direct threat to the political process and hinder efforts to create the necessary conditions for transitioning to a more stable phase in Gaza,” the statement said, referring to both security and humanitarian concerns.

The foreign ministers stressed the need for full commitment by all parties to ensure the success of the ceasefire and urged restraint to prevent further deterioration of the situation. They called on parties to avoid actions that could derail current diplomatic efforts and jeopardize prospects for recovery and reconstruction in the enclave.

The statement also reaffirmed support for a just and lasting peace, grounded in the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood, in line with international law, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The joint statement reflects growing international concern over the fragile ceasefire in Gaza, as repeated violations by Israel risk reigniting broader regional instability amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
