NEW YORK -  Foreign ministers from Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates have called for the full implementation of a U.S.-backed Gaza peace plan, while rejecting any forced displacement of Palestinians from their homeland.

The ministers met in New York Monday on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, according to a joint statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.

They expressed deep concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and called on Israel to fulfil its commitments under the first phase of the Comprehensive Plan, including allowing immediate, safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and early-recovery supplies and facilitating the rehabilitation of critical infrastructure.

The ministers also stressed the need to preserve the ceasefire and end violations.

They said the Road Map provides the framework for the plan’s second phase, including decommissioning alongside a full Israeli withdrawal, deployment of an International Stabilization Force, the assumption of responsibilities across Gaza by the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza and the launch of reconstruction.

The eight countries rejected measures aimed at expelling or forcibly displacing Palestinians or changing the territorial and demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territory.

They also criticized settlement expansion, land confiscation, demolition of Palestinian homes, settler violence and forced displacement, calling for such measures to be reversed. 

The ministers reaffirmed that Gaza should remain part of Palestinian territory and called for the reunification of Gaza with the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as part of a pathway toward Palestinian self-determination and statehood.

They endorsed a two-state solution providing for a sovereign and independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The ministers also commended U.S. President Donald Trump’s leadership and stressed what they described as the “indispensable role” of the United States in implementing the plan. They called for sustained U.S. engagement to ensure all parties, including Israel, fulfil their commitments.

They said they were ready to continue working with the United States, the Board of Peace, the Palestinian Authority and other parties to implement the plan, address Gaza’s humanitarian crisis and pursue what they described as a just, lasting and comprehensive regional peace.
