Some extremist elements promote terrorism & praise recent Karachi suicide bombing against the Chinese citizens

Social media activist living in a European country praises suicide attack against Chinese nationals.

By Shahid Shah

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Anti-Pakistan elements residing in some western countries on Tuesday praised a suicide bombing against the Chinese nationals in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi.

Pakistani nationals who left the country and got asylum in European countries including the United States, are now spreading disinformations against Pakistan, China, and some other Muslim countries.

On Tuesday, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a designated terrorist organization, carried out a suicide bombing for the first time using a female bomber, targeting Chinese nationals who were teaching at Confucius Institute, a Chinese language center in Karachi University.

At least three Chinese and one Pakistani were killed and three others wounded in the attack.

Hours later, a Pakistani national, Ahmad Waqas Goraya, living in Netherlands conducted a space on Twitter where some speakers praised the female who carried out heinous attack against the Chinese nationals.

Goraya in his remarks said Baloch need their rights and if Kashmiri wants freedom, the same way Baloch have to raise their voice for their freedom from Pakistan.

Pirdhan Baloch @PirdhanB spoke in support of BLA terrorists and said the woman who carried out the attack belonged to his area in Turbat.

Pirdhan Baloch was promoting BLA narrative and said they are fighting for their rights.

He also praised Shari Baloch, for carrying out the attack against innocent Chinese and Pakistani nationals.

While several other speakers including Benjimen baluch, whose Twitter timeline is full of spreading hatred against the Pakistan army, also spoke against the Pakistan armed forces.

When a speaker asked Goraya if he could speak a single word against the army or intelligence agencies of the country where he was living and asked that if such kind of an attack occurred there and had it targeted the innocent people, he could only blabber and could not give any satisfactory answer.

Most of these anti-Pakistan elements living in Europe, Canada, or the US use the social media platform to spread disinformation and hatred against the armed forces of Pakistan, who have successfully fought a 20-year-long war against the terrorists and have defeated them comprehensively.

“This is a very dangerous trend that western countries allow such elements to use their soil against other sovereign countries,” said Ishaq Khan, a Pakistani legal expert.

“In western countries, such elements use the freedom of expression laws to promote their agenda through social media. However, it’s responsibility of Pakistani and Chinese governments to raise these issues with concerned countries through diplomatic channels,” he added.

According to Pakistani officials, over 80,000 Pakistani citizens including over six thousand soldiers have lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in the last 15 years which has also costed Pakistan more than $150bn in losses to its economy.

“We request our people in Balochistan that BLA and its affiliates are terrorists, working for foreign powers. We urge brave and resilient Baloch people to stand in front of these terrorists to foil their conspiracy against Pakistan, said Farah Azeem Shah, spokeswoman of the Balochistan government.

She added that these elements spread disinformations to create chaos and an anti-state narrative, mostly targeting the young generation.

A Pakistan-based social media activist Ali Haider while commenting on these vicious propaganda campaigns, said that such campaigns are designed to promote their agenda and brain-wash the youth to agitate them against their own security institutions and the state.

In January this year, several Pakistani women accused Goraya of targeting and harassing them through social media.

According to them, they were facing online harassment campaigns from abroad which caused them mental stress and agony.

“Since 2018, Goraya has been targeting me because I am promoting the good image of my country [Pakistan],” said Javeria Siddique, an Islamabad based journalist.

She added that Goraya is not a blogger neither activist but a social media user only targeting women journalists in Pakistan.

Goraya, is a self exiled Pakistani social media user, who is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Later Goraya told the South Asia Times that he didn’t harass anyone.

"I will keep speaking [against] the paratroopers in media working for Pakistan army against people of Pakistan," Goraya said while accusing the journalists of working for their country's army.

The women journalists have also lodged complaints with Netherland Embassy in Islamabad and have requested them to take appropriate action against Goraya for his abusive behaviour.
