Pakistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran strongly condemns Indian ruling party leaders’ derogatory remarks against Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

By The South Asia Times report

DOHA, Qatar: Qatar, Pakistan, Kuwait and Iran on Sunday strongly condemned Indian ruling party leaders for derogatory remarks against Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Qatar Foreign Ministry summoned Indian ambassador Deepak Mittal and handed over an official note expressing disappointment of the state of Qatar and its total rejection and condemnation to the controversial remarks made by an official in the ruling party in India against Prophet Mohammed (may blessings and peace be upon him (, Islam and Muslims, said in an official statement.

“The State of Qatar is expecting  a public apology and immediate condemnation of these remarks from the Government of India, pointing out that allowing such Islamophobic remarks to continue without punishment, constitutes a grave danger to the protection of human rights and may lead to further prejudice and marginalization, which will create a cycle of violence and hate,” said the Qatar foreign ministry.

The State of Qatar affirmed that these insulting remakes would lead to incitement of religious hatred, and offend more than two billion Muslims around the world, and indicate the clear ignorance of the pivotal role that Islam has played in the development of civilizations around the world, including in India.

  • Pakistan strongly condemn India

Pakistan also strongly condemned the Indian ruling party spokesperson's derogatory remarks and said the Indian leaders insulting remarks hurt Muslims around the world

“Pakistan condemns in the strongest possible terms, the highly derogatory remarks recently made by two senior officials of India’s ruling party BJP, that disrespect the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). These totally unacceptable remarks have not only deeply hurt the sentiments of the people of Pakistan but of billions of Muslims around the world,” said in a statement issued by the foreign ministry of Pakistan.

The foreign ministry said that the Indian ruling party, BJP, attempted clarification and belated and perfunctory disciplinary action against these individuals cannot assuage the pain and anguish they have caused to the Muslim world.

“Muslims residing in India are equally outraged by the completely repugnant comments by the two BJP officials. The ensuing communal violence in Kanpur and in other parts of India bears testimony to this fact.

“Pakistan is also deeply concerned at the alarming rise in communal violence and hatred directed against the Muslims in India. Muslims in India are being systematically stigmatized, marginalized and subjected to a well-orchestrated onslaught from radical Hindu mobs with full connivance and support of the security apparatus across various states in India. Regrettably, the Indian state machinery has remained aloof to the desperate calls for assistance by the local Muslim communities across the country,” said the ministry.

Islamabad added that the continued grave violations of the rights of minorities in several BJP-ruled states; anti-Muslim legislations by the Union government of India and continued incidents of violence against Muslims on flimsy pretexts by various ‘Hindutva’ groups with complete impunity, and often under state patronage, highlights the worsening trend of Islamophobia and extremism in India.

“The silence of the top leadership of the BJP is yet another proof that these Hindu zealots have tacit support of the state machinery in carrying out their nefarious designs of marginalization and dehumanizing of the minorities, especially Muslims,” its said.

“Reprehensibly, it has become a norm in India to deprive the Muslims of their right to live and freely practice their religion. It is deplorable that the BJP-RSS cohort, under extremist ‘Hindutva’ agenda, has maliciously denigrated and perpetrated senseless violence against Indian Muslims and their places of worship.”

Pakistan urges India to ensure that decisive and demonstrable action is taken against those responsible for making derogatory remarks and attacking the dignity of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

“India must also take immediate steps to protect its minorities from human rights violations, ensure their safety, security and well-being and allow them to profess and practice their faiths in peace,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, Kuwait and Iran's foreign ministries also summoned the Indian ambassadors and conveyed strong protest to India over the derogatory remarks made by the ruling party spokesperson.

Both countries demanded from India for an immediate apology and take action against the cursed  Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal.

Last month, BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal insulted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during a live TV show that spread anger among Muslims worldwide.

Muslim leaders in India had filed a complaint against Sharma and Kumar with police and demanded to arrest them but Prime Minister Modi’s government protect their party leaders and police are unable to arrest them.

Since Friday, protests, and clashes have been underway in India against the BJP government and their leaders who are protecting the blasphemous persons.
