Pakistan Field Marshal meets Azerbaijan defense minister

BAKU- — Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir met with Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence, in Lachin, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday to discuss defence cooperation and regional security matters.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the high-level meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security landscape, and ways to deepen bilateral defence collaboration.

General Munir expressed appreciation for the strong and enduring relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing strategic and military cooperation with the brotherly nation.

The visit highlights the growing defence partnership between Islamabad and Baku, amid shared regional interests and mutual support in international forums.
