Pakistan successfully tests indigenously developed Fatah-II guided multi-launch rocket system

By Islamuddin Sajid

ISLAMABAD (AA) - Pakistan on Wednesday conducted a successful test flight of an indigenously developed guided multi-launch rocket system, the country’s army said.

The Fatah-II is outfitted with cutting-edge avionics, a sophisticated navigation system, and a unique flight trajectory, the Pakistan Army's media wing said in a statement.

"The weapon system is capable of engaging targets with high precision up to a range of 400 kilometres (248 miles)," the statement said.

The flight test was witnessed by senior officers from three armed services, as well as scientists and engineers.

President Arif Alvi and senior military officials congratulated participating troops and scientists on the successful flight test, it said.

In 2021, Pakistan conducted a successful test flight of Fatah-I while earlier Islamabad carried out a successful test of its Ra’ad-II cruise missile.
