Pakistan Deploys F-16s to Saudi Arabia for Multinational Exercise

By The South Asia Times

Rawalpindi – A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), including F-16 Block-52 fighter jets and their dedicated air and ground crews, has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia to take part in the multinational Exercise Spears of Victory-2026, ISPR said on Monday.

The exercise brings together fighter aircraft and combat support elements from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, France, Italy, Greece, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, providing a platform to strengthen interoperability, operational synergy, and mutual understanding among participating air forces. Training will focus on large force employment, night composite air operations, integrated ISR, and advanced electronic warfare scenarios.

For this deployment, PAF aircraft undertook a non-stop flight from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, highlighting the Air Force’s long-range operational reach and expeditionary capabilities. During the exercise, PAF pilots will operate their advanced F-16 Block-52 jets, equipped with modern avionics and Beyond Visual Range (BVR) capabilities, against a range of sophisticated aircraft from other participating nations.

ISPR said the exercise underscores Pakistan Air Force’s professional excellence, operational readiness, and ability to operate effectively in diverse and demanding environments. Participation in Exercise Spears of Victory-2026 demonstrates PAF’s commitment to regional and international military cooperation while validating its preparedness in a technology-driven battlespace.
