Pakistan says 10 militants killed in counterterrorism operation in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said Saturday that security personnel killed 10 militants during an intelligence-based operation in the southwestern province of Balochistan.
According to a CTD statement, the operation was conducted in the Rarah Sham area of Barkhan district following the receipt of confirmed intelligence about members of a group it identified as “Fitna-al-Hindustan.”
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the operation, the statement said, adding that two CTD personnel were injured.
The CTD said security forces, including police and counterterrorism personnel, remained committed to eliminating militant threats in Balochistan.
The department did not provide further details about the identities of those killed or the nature of the recovered weapons.
