Pakistan Army Retaliates Against Afghan Taliban Aggression, Destroys Key Hideouts

By The South Asia Times

RAWALPINDI — The Pakistan Army carried out a series of powerful retaliatory strikes against Afghan Taliban and TTP militants joint positions following cross-border aggression in the Spin Boldak area of Chaman sector in Balochistan province, effectively destroying multiple militant hideouts and inflicting heavy losses, according to security sources.

Precision strikes were conducted inside Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, targeting Battalion No. 4 and Border Brigade No. 6 of the Afghan Taliban, both of which were reportedly completely destroyed. Dozens of Afghan and foreign operatives were killed in the attacks.

The Pakistan Army also launched comprehensive counter-operations across the Zhob and Chaman sectors, using heavy artillery to dismantle Afghan Taliban posts and TTP hideouts, sources confirmed. Intense mortar fire and explosions turned parts of the border region into clouds of smoke as several militants were killed or injured.

Earlier, in the early hours of October 15, Afghan Taliban fighters carried out a coordinated attack on four locations in Spin Boldak, which was swiftly repelled by Pakistani forces. At least 15–20 Taliban militants were killed and many others wounded.

The Pakistan Army stated that it remains fully capable of responding to any external aggression and will continue to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity with full force.

“All acts of aggression against Pakistan will be met with a decisive response,” the military said.
