Pakistan navy launches major maritime exercise SeaPark-2026

KARACHI, Pakistan - Pakistan Navy has launched its major maritime exercise SEASPARK-2026 in Karachi, testing the force’s readiness to respond to conventional and emerging threats amid an evolving regional security environment.
According to Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise began with an opening briefing chaired by the Chief of the Naval Staff and attended by senior officers from Pakistan’s armed forces.
The exercise is designed to rigorously test the Pakistan Navy’s combat preparedness through the integration of a wide range of naval and joint military assets, including warships, submarines, aircraft, unmanned systems, Marines and special forces, alongside elements from the Pakistan Army and Air Force.
The exercise comes as Pakistan continues to emphasize greater coordination among its armed forces in response to changing security challenges across its maritime and regional environment.
Earlier, the Naval Chief visited Pakistan Navy Fleet units and reviewed ongoing operations before addressing officers and personnel participating in the exercise.
He stressed that the evolving security environment required “uncompromising readiness,” stronger integration among the three services, adaptability and operational effectiveness across both physical and information domains.
A key focus of SEASPARK-2026 is the rehearsal of Multi-Domain Operations, bringing together maritime, air, land, cyber and space-enabled capabilities as part of an integrated operational framework.
The exercise will also test Pakistan Navy’s ability to conduct operations in the information environment, with the military seeking to gain an advantage in the information battlespace alongside conventional kinetic operations at sea.
According to ISPR, the exercise is intended to strengthen the Navy’s ability to operate across multiple domains simultaneously and ensure that information operations remain closely synchronized with military activities during maritime operations.
The exercise involves coordination between naval forces and elements of Pakistan’s Army and Air Force, reflecting Islamabad’s growing emphasis on joint operations and integrated responses to complex security threats.
