Pakistan, Kazakhstan Finalize Roadmap Ahead of Presidential Visit in November

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Kazakhstan on Tuesday reaffirmed their commitment to deepening political and economic cooperation, enhancing regional connectivity, and closely coordinating ahead of the upcoming visit of Kazakhstan’s President to Pakistan in November 2025.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with his Kazakh counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu in Islamabad, who arrived on his two day visit to Pakistan.

The two leaders held a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by delegation-level talks, reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral ties.

According to the Foreign Office, discussions covered a wide range of areas, including trade and investment, agriculture, information technology, education, culture, tourism, security, and logistics connectivity. Both sides expressed the determination to further strengthen cooperation in these sectors.

A key outcome of the talks was the finalization of the roadmap for the Kazakh President’s visit to Pakistan in November 2025, which is expected to open a new chapter in bilateral relations.

Following the discussions, Senator Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu also signed the Action Plan of Cooperation between the two foreign ministries, aimed at institutionalizing engagement and ensuring implementation of agreed initiatives.

Pakistan and Kazakhstan, both members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), have long emphasized the importance of greater regional connectivity. The two sides reiterated their resolve to enhance collaboration in multilateral forums and strengthen people-to-people exchanges.

Officials noted that the high-level exchanges and upcoming presidential visit would significantly boost bilateral ties, particularly in economic and trade domains, while also contributing to regional stability and prosperity.
