PAF Wins Two Prestigious Awards at UK’s Royal International Air Tattoo 2025

ISLAMABAD, July 19 — Pakistan Air Force (PAF) achieved a major international milestone by winning two prestigious awards at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025 in the United Kingdom, showcasing its professionalism, innovation, and global appeal.

In its debut appearance at the world’s largest military airshow, the state-of-the-art JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jet was awarded the coveted “Spirit of the Meet” Trophy, a rare honor given to the aircraft best representing the ethos and excitement of the show.

Following the recent Pakistan-India conflict, a heightened sense of anticipation prevailed across the United Kingdom, with aviation enthusiasts and defence experts eagerly awaiting the debut of Pakistan Air Force’s 4.5 generation JF-17 Thunder Block-III.

"The award signifies the technological brilliance and operational capability of the JF-17 program, while also showcasing Pakistan’s growing aerospace excellence on global stage," said PAF Spokesman.

Additionally, the PAF’s C-130H Hercules, featuring a specially designed livery themed “Eyes in the Skies,” won the “Concours d’Elegance” Trophy for the best-maintained and most artistically presented aircraft.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu praised the PAF contingent, saying the awards reflect the Force’s operational excellence, technical brilliance, and unwavering commitment to national pride.

"Winning these prestigious awards is a testament to our professionalism, technical expertise and relentless pursuit of excellence. He also commended the entire team for showcasing Pakistan’s true potential with pride and dignity," Pakistani Air Chief said.
