French judges summon Franco-Israeli activists over alleged Gaza genocide complicity

By The South Asia Times

PARIS - French investigating judges have issued summons warrants for two Franco-Israeli activists over alleged complicity in the genocide in Gaza, according to Anadolu Agency citing the French daily Le Monde.

The warrants were issued in the summer of 2025 against two activists residing in Israel — Nili Kupfer-Naouri, founder and president of the association Israel Is Forever, and Rachel T., spokesperson for the Tsav 9 collective.

According to the report, Israel Is Forever seeks to mobilize Francophone Zionist supporters, while Tsav 9 repeatedly blocked trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza in 2024. The activists are accused of contributing, through their respective organizations, to efforts that obstructed the delivery of aid to the enclave.

Unlike arrest warrants, summons warrants do not automatically lead to pretrial detention and can be issued directly by investigating judges without prior approval from the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT), which oversees cases involving war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

The French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP), Al-Haq, Al Mezan, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights have reportedly joined the case as civil parties.
