Ishaq Dar Holds Telephonic Talks with Iranian, Azerbaijani, and Egyptian Counterparts on Gaza Crisis

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held separate telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan, and Egypt on Saturday  to discuss the escalating situation in Gaza and ongoing regional diplomatic efforts to restore peace.


According to the Foreign Office, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty to exchange views on the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and the broader Middle East crisis.

In his conversation with Iran’s Abbas Araghchi, Dar discussed recent regional developments, particularly in Gaza and Palestine. Both ministers emphasized the importance of joint efforts among Muslim countries to promote peace and stability in the region and reviewed preparations for the upcoming Arab-Islamic Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

During his discussion with Azerbaijan’s Jeyhun Bayramov, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s concern over the worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza and stressed the need for coordinated action by Muslim nations to ensure an immediate ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

In his call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty, the two leaders reviewed the latest developments in Gaza and discussed diplomatic coordination ahead of the summit scheduled in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to working closely with regional partners to promote peace, stability, and justice in the Middle East. The ministers agreed to maintain regular contact and continue consultations on developments related to Gaza and regional peace efforts.
