#BREAKING Six killed after freight train slams into bus in Bangkok

BANGKOK - At least six people were reported killed after a freight train collided with a public bus in Bangkok on Saturday, sparking a large fire and trapping passengers inside the vehicle, according to local media reports.

 

The accident took place on Asok-Din Daeng Road near the Makkasan railway crossing between the Rama IX and Asok-Phet intersections,Khaosod English reported.

 

 The collision caused the bus to burst into flames, while several nearby vehicles and motorcycles were also damaged by the impact.

 

Emergency teams and rescue workers rushed to the scene as thick smoke engulfed the area. Search and recovery operations continued amid fears that additional passengers may have been trapped inside the burned-out bus.

 

Traffic around the crash site was heavily disrupted as authorities secured the area and launched an investigation into the cause of the collision.
